Description

I finally finished this. It took FOREVER!!! I still don't know how I feel about it... It's not nearly as good as I was hoping it was going to be. FEEDBACK IS VERY MUCH APPRECIATED. Especially since I have no idea what specifically I don't like. Done is Paint Tool Sai, with slight touch ups in Photoshop CC 2015.

Also, allow me time to cry now T^T How dare I do this to my poor babies...

[Edit:] I went back and made some slight alterations, mostly editing some of the colors and contrast. Overall, I think it looks a lot better. :D

[EDIT 2:]

I did some more editing to the colors and details.

I haven't been following your story, but I'd like to comment on this picture. Since I do well to draw a straight line, I respect anyone who can draw.

You successfully conveyed the agony of a father who has just lost his child. Body proportions are realistic, as is the traditional clothing. The dark blue and gray of the father's clothes reinforce the dreary mood.

The major issue that keeps this picture from being the best it could be is the background. The people look mostly realistic, but the trees and water don't. The grass, however, does look mostly realistic. Although I can see the bit of sunlight peeking through the trees, I don't think the brightly colored background goes with the theme of sadness and loss. If I were drawing this, I might have used an overcast sky with the sun peeking through to reinforce the theme.

This picture has promise. I think you're off to a good start.

I hope this helps. Good luck! <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/h/h…" width="38" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="160" title="Hug"/>
